Pupils show good communication through National Joke Competition.

Pupils from Abbey Hill Academy and Sheraton Sixth Form highlight the importance of good communication through the National Joke Competition on 5th October.
Did you hear the one about Abbey Hill Academy who took part in a national joke competition to celebrate the fun and importance of communication?
The pupils took part in Voice Box, a joint national initiative by the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and The Communication Trust, to demonstrate the importance of good communication skills.
30 pupils took part in telling their best jokes in front of the whole school during a special assembly and a judging panel including Alex Cunningham MP for Stockton North.
The whole school were involved with each tutor group choosing the best joke to take forward to the joke assembly.The best jokes were performed on stage in front of the whole school. The winners won a joke book each and the chance to go to Westminister if they win the next stage. Each participant was given a funny book donated by Drake the bookshop. The judges chose the best three jokes and the winners were:
