Leading with success!
24th January 2017
Some of our senior and middle leaders across the Trust have been recognised for their hard work and ability by being awarded qualifications from the National College for Teaching & Leadership (NCTL).
The National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL) from the NCTL is a qualification that provides national recognition of leadership development and professional achievement as a senior leader. Leigh Beaumont (Vice-Principal at Westlands) and Claire Naisbitt (Vice-Principal at Green Gates) have shown that they have the skills, confidence and knowledge to contribute to the strategic development of their respective Academies as part of the senior leadership team and consequently help improve the lives of the pupils and students enrolled there.
Meanwhile, Adam Harewood (Teacher of ICT at Westlands), Adam Gascoigne (PE Teacher at Abbey Hill) and Doug Mulholland (PE Teacher at Westlands) have all successfully completed their National Professional Qualification for Middle Leadership (NPQML). These three have demonstrated that they have the necessary skills to take the next step as a school leader. The final assessment for their qualification was a task to show that they could lead at team level, for an extended period, on a school improvement priority. Each task was shown to have produced a demonstrable positive impact on the lives of our young people and provided sustainable change.
