Gearing up for exams

Year 10 and 11 have recently completed their controlled assessment for their GCSE Hospitality. Both year groups finished their practical exam by preparing and cooking a three course meal for ten people. The students were excellent showing great cooking skills, that they had practiced in their Food Tech. lessons, they worked well as a team as well as working well independently in their own job roles. Donna Hall, Teacher of Food Technology, said "It was like working with professional chefs, the standard of the food was outstanding, they received excellent feedback and compliments from parents and staff, on the quality of the food cooked and the service provided to them."
This work is graded and forms part of their overall mark. In addition to this is the exam! However, staff are confident that the students have the skills, knowledge and understanding to be extremely successful - if they keep up with the revision! Good Luck!
