Fundraising Event October 2014
28th September 2014
Residential Fund Raising Events
The students of the Residential unit are going to be raising monies to support The Butterwick Children’s Hospice who cared for one of our former students who sadly passed away earlier this year.
Our older students are going to take part in a Triathlon, which will consist of cycling 8 laps of the playing field, 8 lengths swimming at Thornaby Pool and running from the Pool back to Westlands. This will take place on the evening of Thursday 16th October.
The students will be asking friends and family to sponsor them in this activity to raise funds for this worthwhile cause.
As you may be aware, many young people today are into making loom bands into bracelets. We are making good use of these skills and have started a production line making bracelets in the colours of the Butterwick Children’s Hospice. The students will be selling to friends, family and staff (£1 for 2 bracelets). The proceeds will also go to the Butterwick Childrens Hospice.
Our younger students are going to be raising money for the cause by washing vehicles. Darren in his usual quirky manner is organising for different vehicles to arrive to be washed, i.e. Lambretta scooters and maybe a digger!
