ASDAN Support Sixth Form Team Building Option
3rd May 2016
Following an ASDAN grant for our team building project a number of additional activities have been made possible.
Canoeing and kayaking have been experienced, with further sessions planned . The intention is that there will be a morning sheltered water session and then hopefully a full day journey.
As part of the climbing project students have been climbing indoors to develop their skills and gain confidence in the equipment and each other; the other advantage of indoor climbing is that students can gain experience when the weather is poor.
At least one more outdoor climbing session is planned for the summer term.
Students taking part in this project have benefited tremendously from the opportunity to take part in adventurous activities. They develop confidence in themselves and others. It has been a pleasure watching the students support one another whilst taking part in these challenging activities.
The ASDAN grant has helped support the funding for this project so far, with further climbing and canoeing activities planned for the summer term.
