Activities and Halloween - Autumn Term
31st October 2015
The Residential unit has had a busy half term, we have been working with our local fire service, who have been delivering a series of safety sessions' to our students.
Students have been outdoors collecting brambles from our local woods and apples from the tree outside of the unit, which we then made into apple and bramble pies, which were taken home to our families.
The students have been learning some basic cooking and shopping skills, going to our local supermarket to purchase ingredients on a budget, then preparing and cooking their suppers, they have enjoyed toasties, pizza, and omelettes.
We ended our half term with a Halloween party, with staff and students dressing up as ghouls and witches, party games and apple bobbing, the students really enjoyed making Darren and Ian into mummies. If you go to our website you will see lots of photos of our activities.
As part of our staff training on 23rd October Dave Dixon from Digital Creatives spoke to and updated us on our knowledge around E - Safety, we have now updated organisations and sites, that as a parent you may find useful on our web page.
