DC Band 7 (NJC point 19-22) actual salary £24,912 to £26,185
Horizons Specialist Academy Trust consists of eight Academies and one Sixth Form across the Tees Valley and North Yorkshire area serving a population in excess of 1000 students aged 5 to 19 with a broad range of learning difficulties.
The Meadows Academy has recently joined Horizons Specialist Academy Trust and caters for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues. Many of our young people live across County Durham and in some cases further afield.

We are currently seeking to appoint outstanding, creative and enthusiastic Level 4 Teaching Assistants to join our team at The Meadows. The right candidates will have the flexibility to work with young people who have a variety of special educational needs. This role involves supporting students in the classroom in small groups and on a 1-1 basis. The successful candidates will work closely with students to support their learning, ensuring interventions are targeted and effective and have high expectations of our students and themselves.
Previous experience of working with students with SEMHD would be desirable. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential requirements of this post.
